Volunteers are the lifeblood of Lesbury community shop!
We already have a number of volunteers working away in varoius ways to make the shop the success it is proving - but we always need MORE volunteers! Do you think you could spare some time to assist us? Just an hour or two a week can make a huge difference to the success of the shop.
We have held a number of Volunteers meetings and have often found a number of people turn up to tell us "we would really like to help, but we don't think we have any particular skills to offer". We almost always find that they DO actually have skills which can contribute to the success of the shop.
And bear in mind - volunteering to help with the shop does not mean you actually have to work IN the shop! There are lots of volunteers tasks which can be done in the comfort of your own home, at times to suit yourself.
The attached paper (you can view it here or download it if you would like to apply) gives a bit of detail of the sort of activities we need help with. And, once you have read that, if you still feel you would like to help but still don't think you have the skills, we will be providing training also! An opportunity to offer your help AND to learn something new!
